Terri Buffalohead Obituary

On Wednesday, August 3 2022, Therese Elaine Buffalohead was welcomed to Heaven by her loving parents Mary and Steve and sister Dorothy.  Therese was born in Cleveland, Ohio on December 29, 1960.  Her parents were Mary (Mason) and Steve Buffalohead.  Maternal grandparents were Mary (Palko) and Robert Mason.  Paternal grandparents were Dorothy (Blueback) and Roy Buffalohead.  Therese was preceded in death by her parents and sister Dorothy.
 
Survivors include her sons, Michael Robedeaux and wife Marina of Bartlesville, OK, Robert Robedeaux and Christopher Robedeaux of Skiatook, OK.  Therese’s favorite pastime was spending time with her seven grandchildren: Michael, Jocelyn, Makaela, Jess, Rese, Skychief and Eli. Therese is survived by her siblings Pamela Beard and husband Lorenzo, Tamara Buffalohead and husband James McGill, Dawn Buffalohead and David Buffalohead.
 
Therese attended school at Ponca City High School where she participated in JROTC.  She earned her Associate's Degree in Sociology and Certificate of Mastery in Early Childhood from Tulsa Community College. She was working on a Bachelor's degree in Community Counseling from Rogers State University.
 
Therese devoted her life to educating and supporting families.  She was employed by the Osage Nation Head Start program for 17 years.  After years of service to the Osage Nation, she started her own business called Sacred Sister Iton Ge’ Xube designed to enrich people’s lives through holistic wellness by making organic healing salves, balms, lotions, soaps and more.  She combined her love of culture, plants and essential oils to create products to help others.
 
She was committed to her culture, community and the wellbeing of children. She had a compassionate and loving nature, demonstrated through her actions of caring for others. She is described as inspirational, creative, steadfast and passionate.  Therese embraced life with gusto, she had a genuine interest in people, culture, education, nature and music. More than anything she loved spending time with her grandchildren cooking, planting, crafting, talking and camping. Therese leaves behind a legacy of love, enthusiasm for life and compassion for others.  Words cannot express how much our mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend will be missed.
