Tracy Thomason, age 51, of Skiatook, passed away Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at his Skiatook residence.
Tracy was born June 21, 1967 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to John H. and Joyce G. (Duncan) Thomason. He grew up and received his education in Skiatook. He was employed with Thurman Bricker where he worked in masonry, Rule Company and he worked various other jobs. Tracy was a talented artist he liked wood burning, and bead work, and also enjoyed fishing, hunting, and reading.
David and Linda once took Tracy trout fishing at Roaring River in Cassville, Missouri. Years later Tracy wrote a beautiful letter ending with “I think I’ll go to sleep now and dream of Roaring River.”
Todd once asked Tracy if he was doing okay in school, like do you have any D’s? Tracy quickly replied “I certainly hope so.”
The Thomason family is very proud of their Cherokee heritage. They think Tracy is one of the few red-headed card carrying Indians.
Tracy liked to laugh and make everyone else laugh. We were fishing at a pond with Uncle Tray, Jonathan, Tasha, and Todd. Todd was teaching Tasha how to cast, she hooked Uncle Trays ear and he chased her half way around that pond.
Tracy liked dirt bikes and rode all over the neighborhood as a teen.
When Tray was younger he had one green eye and one blue eye and if you called him blue eye green eye he was ready to fight.
Tracy was preceded in death by his mother Joyce.
Tracy is survived by his father and mother; John and Darlene Thomason, brother Todd Thomason and wife Christy, sisters; Cindy Hughes and husband Chris, and Linda Clabaugh and husband David also several nieces, and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was Loved by many and will be missed by all.
