Ronnie “Ron” Davis

Funeral services for Ron Davis will be held at 3:00 p.m. Monday, November 13, 2017 at the Riveted Church with Rev. Jim Stratton, officiating. Private family interment to follow.

Ron Davis, age 73, of Skiatook, passed away Thursday, November 9, 2017 at the St. John Medical Center in Tulsa.

Ron was born January 11, 1944 in Lumberton, Mississippi to Berkley and Sophia (Courtney) Davis. Ron grew up and received his education in Avant where he graduated in 1962. Ron enlisted into the United States Army March 29, 1966 and received his honorable discharge on March 28, 1972. While serving in the Army Ron received two Purple Hearts with Oak Leaf Cluster, National Defense Service Medal, Bronze Star Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal with 1960 Device and Vietnam Service Medal with Bronze Service Star. Ron was a decorated soldier and was proud to serve his country in the United States Army. Ron was employed with John Zink where he was employed just under 39 years where he was a Superintendent. Ron liked fishing riding motor cycles but most of all he loved watching his grandchildren playing sports.

Ron was preceded in death by his mother and father, three brother’s one being his twin and by one sister.

Ron is survived by his wife: Karen Davis, children: Justin Davis, Christy Hill, Wes Reed and wife Jamie and David Roach, brother: Harold Davis, sister’s: Ginny Thorne and Barbara Partin, seven grandchildren, one great grandchild, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Music for the services will be: “Peace In The Valley”, “I’ll fly Away” and Mansion Over The Hill Top”

Pallbearers will be: Gordon Hayes, Clarence Ashlock, Mark Thorne, Jimmy Reed, Ronnie Scivally and Jim Benham.

The family of Ron Davis entrusted his care and services to Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
