Memorial services for Shirley G. Collins will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 3, 2017 at the Freewill Baptist Church in Barnsdall with Pastor’s Randy Gamble and Rick Loggins, officiating.  Interment will follow in the Ethel Reece Cemetery under the direction of the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.

Shirley G. Collins, age 59, of Barnsdall, passed away Sunday, October 22, 2017 at the Barnsdall Nursing Home.

Shirley was born July 11, 1958 in Pawhuska, Oklahoma to Charles Edward and Wilma jean (Spence) King. Shirley grew up and received her education in Barnsdall where she graduated in 1976. Shirley also attended Tri County Tech and Tulsa Junior College. Shirley married Perry Collins June of 1977 in Barnsdall where they had made their home in Skiatook and Barnsdall. Shirley was employed with Tulsa Regional Medical Lab where she worked in Medical Billing for 23 years until she became disabled in 2009. Shirley liked to crochet, gardening, sewing, cooking and she was an avid NASCAR fan loving the number 8. When Shirley went into the nursing home in Barnsdall she had suffered  2 forms of rare dementia. Shirley will be missed by all who knew her.

Shirley was preceded in death by her mother and father, and her triplet brothers.

Shirley is survived by her two children: Jeremy Collins and Jacob Collins, four sisters: Charla Head, Brenda Davis, Paula King and Makayla Wheeler, one brother: Bill Doty, five grandchildren several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Music for the services will be: “When I Get To Where I’m Going”, “Take It To The Lord In Prayer”, “Go Rest High On That Mountain” and “I Can Only Imagine”.

The family of Shirley Collins entrusted her care to the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
